457 km drive Darwin - Arnhem Highway - Adelaide and Mary River wetlands - World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park- Kakadu Highway - Stuart Highway down to Katherine - Nitmiluk National Park (Katherine Gorge)

• Cruise Yellow Water Billabong and the East Alligator River to see birds, animals and huge crocodiles
• Katherine, the gateway to Nitmiluk National Park - Swim in the spring-fed crystal clear pool of the Katherine Hot Springs and tour the Cutta Cutta Caves, a 10 minute drive from town.
• Nitmiluk National Park, 30 kilometres east of Katherine, cruise down the gorge 
• On return to Darwin stop off for a swim at Leliyn / Edith Falls
• Scenic walk at Butterfly Gorge Nature Park, north of the historic gold mining town of Pine Creek, before cooling off in the paperbark-lined rock pools
• 214 kilometre drive north to Darwin.
